Fixed-wireless camera and recording units with wireless transmission - for rapid deployment and agile operations

Fixed-Wireless Surveillance Products

Fixed camera systems remain the preeminent form of surveillance capability, deployed in response to everything from crime to social order and public safety. However, countering adversaries that adapt their tactics and responding to fast-changing situations requires a more agile approach to surveillance - one that is based on flexible, re-deployable capabilities that are targeted at the point of need.

The Stryker range of fixed-wireless surveillance units from Digital Barriers provides law enforcement organisations with the flexibility to adapt their surveillance as situations and patterns of activity change. With a wide range of configuration options - including cameras, transmission, recording and retrieval - and purpose-built enclosures and control systems, the Stryker range is suitable for either temporary or permanent use in multiple environments. It provides an ideal solution where wired connections are either impractical or uneconomic.

APPLICATIONS

For organisations in law enforcement and public safety, Stryker products are playing an important role in combating crime and anti-social behaviour - as well as more serious and organised threats. The mobile nature of persistent criminal activity, such as drug dealing and street crime, makes the range ideally suited to both overt and covert surveillance roles in a range of urban environments. The reliability and resilience of Stryker products has also led to their use as trusted components of critical infrastructure protection at high-threat locations.

INNOVATIVE CORE TECHNOLOGY

The combination of high-quality components and high-performance transmission options makes the Stryker range the unit of choice for critical surveillance functions. This includes wireless core technologies from Digital Barriers, such as TVI for real-time access to video where bandwidth is limited. It also includes technologies such as COFDM to fit seamlessly into existing dedicated wireless surveillance infrastructures. By specifying multiple wireless bearers, organisations can build greater redundancy and flexibility into their surveillance.

ADVANCED ENGINEERING

Stryker products are designed to be lightweight, portable and easily deployable into urban environments. The enclosures are easily mounted onto buildings and infrastructure, as well as lighting columns and other street furniture, ensuring that installation times are a matter of minutes and units are quickly operational. It is equally simple and quick to re-deploy a unit to a new location and tasking as required. Unit housings are engineered for deployment into harsh conditions, designed to withstand both the environment and attempts at vandalism.

KEY PRODUCTS

The Stryker range includes next generation fixed-wireless surveillance products that can be deployed as standalone systems or integrated as part of fixed surveillance schemes.

Stryker WRX (wireless re-deployable surveillance units)
The WRX is a world-class re-deployable surveillance system with multiple configuration options for camera (visible-band, thermal, high-speed pan-tilt-zoom, wireless transmission (COFDM, Wi-Fi, IP Mesh, 3G), and recording. It features an integrated, compact enclosure in high-grade aluminium for resilient all weather (IP67 rated) operation. It supports remote access to on-board DVR recorded video content and units can be incorporated into control room operations or operated as a standalone capability using a portable controller case.
