We focus on advanced imaging applications that enhance the situational awareness of air, maritime and land forces, as well as surveillance for counter-insurgency operations and force protection. We combine expertise in cutting-edge surveillance technologies with extensive experience of working in the military domain.

Reconnaissance and force protection

With our portfolio of advanced image processing technologies, we can enhance battlefield situational awareness by applying techniques such as image stabilisation, background and foreground suppression/enhancement and sensor fusion – as well as real-time change alerting, even on in-motion imagery. We also provide remote surveillance solutions that are low-power and ruggedised for long-term deployments into in harsh environments.

Base protection

With a combination of surveillance infrastructures, unattended ground sensors and sensor and data fusion technologies, we can provide both fixed and rapidly deployable security solutions for military bases and forward operations. We engineer equipment to operate in harsh terrains and environments, embedding resilience and integrity features (such as temper-evident alarms) to ensure that even our surveillance networks have in-built security. Our technology is in use with specialist defence units in the UK, the Americas and Asia.

Enhanced vision systems for aviation

We provide a range of image enhancement technologies that provide enhanced situational awareness for pilots in reduced visibility conditions. Our solutions are deployed into fixed and rotary wing aircrafts to provide real-time in-flight assistance, including takeoff and landing.

Maritime situational awareness

By combining seamless panoramic imaging (up to 360°) and a range of image enhancement, stablisation and processing techniques, we can provide maritime surveillance solutions that offer greatly enhanced situational awareness. Our technologies are field-proven on seaborne platforms and can be flexibly configured to provide varying levels of processing – from basic real-time panoramic imaging through to more advanced automated tracking and detection.

Advanced imaging and analysis

We apply our expertise in multi-modal image processing and spectral processing to extract information from imagery and provide more intuitive representations from single or multiple sensors. This includes identification and classification of materials from spectral data, as well as 3D representations from single, stereo and multi-sensor systems. We provide solutions that provide meaningful information, without the need for other inputs such as GPS data.
